One video can get a lot of views and still leave you with a hard choice: should you book the same creator again?
Start with what you learned. Did the video reach people who can use your product? Did it help them understand it? Could they find it and buy it?
The answer may be yes, no, or “we can’t tell yet.” Each answer leads to a different next step.
THE SHORT VERSION
What should you do next?
Same creator or someone new?
Booking the same creator again lets you try a new angle with people who already know them. Booking someone new lets you reach a different group of people.
Neither choice is always right. A new offer, video topic, or product page can change the result. Three videos are not a magic number. One weak video does not tell the whole story, either.
Ask what you need to learn next. Are you still looking for the right audience? Or did you find one and want to see if a better video helps?
Check these four things first
What was the first video meant to do? A video that shows how a product works has a different job from one that asks people to buy today. Judge it by the job you gave it.
- 1. The peopleCan they use this product? Can they buy it where they live? For car products, check the vehicles they own.
- 2. The videoDid it show the product well? Did it answer the main question a buyer would ask?
- 3. The path to buyDid the link, code, and product page work? If they broke, fix them before you judge sales.
- 4. The costDo the results you can see make another video worth the price?
Views, good questions, clicks, and sales tell you different things. A broken link means you have less to go on. It does not prove the video made no sales. It also does not let you claim sales you cannot track. Our guide to measuring influencer marketing beyond discount codes explains this in more detail.
Use this quick decision guide
If the people cannot use the product, move on. If they can, but the video left a big question open, try a better demo. If the link or page failed, fix that first.
Book another video when you can say what it will do that the first one did not. If the same problems keep showing up after you fix them, stop and try a different plan.

Write down the next step
Keep it short. Before you book another video, write down:
- What you saw. Which results can you check? What is still missing?
- What you will do. Book again, change the video, fix the path, or stop.
- What you will check next. Pick a result, a date, and a person to review it.
If the only reason to book again is “we already worked with them,” take another look. The next video needs a job of its own.
Common questions
Is one video enough to judge a creator?
It can show a bad fit or a problem with the video. It cannot tell you all that creator could do. Look at what happened in that one video before you make a bigger call.
Do we have to buy three videos?
No. There is no set number. Buy another video only when you have a good reason and room in the budget.
What if views are high but code sales are low?
Check the offer, the product page, and the tracking. Low code sales do not tell you what went wrong. Do not count sales you cannot tie to the video.
When should we stop?
Stop when the people are wrong for the product, the same problem keeps coming back, or you cannot explain why more money would help. If you are still waiting for results, wait before you pay for more.
